Bathroom Tap Restoration

We can restore old taps, but they need to be completely dismantled before any work can commence. We can re-cut seats and fit new seals and packing glands. We try not to get involved with modern taps as most of the modern materials do not re-chrome as well!

The Tap Restoration Process

Tap Restoration Step 1

Typical bath mixer taps that have been dismantled stripped and polished ready for re-chroming.

Tap Restoration Step 2

After re-chroming the parts are now ready for re-assembly.

Tap Restoration Step 3

On assembly we fit each tap with a new tallow impregnated glands to stop any water escaping past the shaft.

Tap Restoration Step 4

We also re-cut the seats and fit new tap washers.

Tap Restoration Step 5

The finished item is ready to be installed by the plumber with the confidence that the tap will function as new and look better than original. This service goes far beyond a re-chroming service giving exceptional value for money compared to most other plating companies.
